This collection consists of an account book kept by the Washington and Custis families. The account book is stained and faded, having been buried during the American Civil War. It consists of 36 leaves containing George Washington's formal record of the settlement of the Daniel Parke Custis estate and of his guardianship of his stepchildren, John Parke and Martha Parke Custis and are in Washington's handwriting, 1761-1773.
